German Development Cooperation Seniors Checked Water Project in Nablus

Signing of the third tender for the water loss project
2009-11-01 :
Mayor Adly Yaish has signed the third tender pertaining to the water loss reduction – second phase - with total amount of 1.7 million Euros. The ceremony of signing the tender took place with the presence of both deputies Dr. Hafez Shaheen and Sa'id Hindiyyeh, in addition to Eng. Suleiman Abu Ghosh, Eng. Amjad Qreish, representative of German consultant, Bashir Hanani of Brothers' Co. and implementing company of the project.
2009-10-28 :
The Women Corner project team has celebrated the graduation of women trainees at Nablus Cultural Center. The project is being implemented by Nablus Municipality and funded by Medina Foundation in Italy and in cooperation with Asla Foundation. Mayor Yaish emphasized that empowering and building capacities of women lies within the strategic plan of the current municipal council, expressed his gratitude to work closely with Medina to implement this project.
Agreement with the Italian Coopi Foundation renewed for the second time
2009-08-11 :
The Mayor of Nablus Municipality, Engineer ‘Adly Yaish, signed a new agreement for an employment project sponsored by the Italian Coopi Foundation and supported by the European Union Office for Human Affairs (ECO). The agreement provides employment for 70 unemployed workers in Nablus through Municipality projects in the Old Town, such as the tiling of places and the conservation of a number of arches and courtyards, especially in the Yasmeena and Qaisariya Quarters. The Coopi Foundation thus secured the required means for the work and the necessary equipment, on the condition that the Municipality increased the reserves to maintain the means in addition to Municipal control over the entirety of works during the implementation. The work will be carried out over 4 periods, each period lasting 20 days
Conclusion of a workshop focusing on a women’s support project
2009-08-09 :
A women’s support project of Nablus Municipality sponsored by the Italian Medina Foundation concluded with an intensive training course in the Nablus Municipality’s Cultural Centre “Hamdi Manko – Sharek”. A group of women benefitting from the project participated in the seminar, which comprised a number of special topics in project management, marketing, accounting, sales, branding, and negotiating, amounting to 30 accredited hours.
