Hundred and Sixty Countries Participated at London's World Travel Market

Nablus Municipality represented by Mrs. Raja Taher, Head of International Relations Department has actively participated in World Travel Market that was organized in London and lasted for four days from 11th to 16th of November. This participation came as a result of invitation to Nablus Municipality by Tuscany Region of Italy as part of Med Cooperation project which is being implemented in Nablus, Tulkarm, and Jericho and sponsored by Tuscany Region. This project aims at promoting tourism industry in the said Palestinian cities at the international level.
Minister of Transportation Visited Nablus Municipality Commercial Mall

Minister of Transportation, Mashhour Abu Daqqa has visited the Municipality Commercial Mall during a visit he paid to Nablus last Tuesday.Councilor Yahia Arafat accompanied Minister Abu Daqqa in his visit and briefed him on Mall's different facilities which include a cap and private cars parking lots that were partially operated, in an attempt to reduce traffic rush in city center.
Minister of Youth and Sports Visited Nablus Municipality

As part of the visit she paid to Nablus, Tahani Abu Daqqa, Minister of Youth and Sports visited Nablus Municipality and was warmly welcomed by Acting Mayor, Dr. Hafez Shaheen and a number of councilors. Dr. Shaheen said that the Palestinian youth are a national wealth that we should look after. Dr. Shaheen added that Nablus Municipality pays great attention for sports projects, especially rehabilitation of the Municipal Soccer Field which will start as soon as $ 450.000 fund dedicated by the Palestinian Government arrives.
The largest German Fund for Water Project in Nablus with Nearly € 14 Millions

A meeting was held between Nablus Municipality and senior representatives of German Bank for Development (KFW). Nablus Municipality was represented by Acting Mayor, Dr. Hafez Shaheen, strategic planner Eng. Suleiman Abu Ghosh, Head of Water and sanitation Department Eng. Imad Al Masri, and Eng. Ramiz Titi, representative of German Agency for Technical Cooperation (GTZ) in Nablus. The meeting discussed implementing one of the largest water projects funded by the German government which aims at reducing water loss in Nablus.
Nablus Municipality Participated at Casablanca's Second Conference of Electricity Producers

Nablus Municipality, represented by Councilor Yahia Arafat, in Charge of Electricity Committee, and Eng. Salam Zagha, Director of Electricity Department has participated at the Second Conference of Electricity Distribution, which was organized by Arab Union of Electricity Producers, Transmitters and Distributors, and took place in Casablanca in the period between 27th – 28th of November
