Nablus Municipality Concluded Participation in Tuscany Meeting

Nablus Municipality delegation represented by councilor Eng. Mahdi Hanbali and Miss. Rajaa Taher, Director of Public and International Relation Department concluded Nablus Municipality participation at The Med Cooperation Project steering committee meeting took place in Toscaney Florence/Toscany Region – Italy. Other Palestinian participants in the said conference included Mr. Hassan Saleh, Mayor of Jerich and representatives of a number of Palestinian local authorities involved in the project. Nablus Municipality delegation met with Mr. Claudio Martini, President of Tuscany Region, and Mr. Massimo Toschi, Minister of International Cooperation of Toscany Region.
2009-12-13 :
In coherence with time table of carrying out Waste Water Treatment Plant project in the West Area of Nablus, international contractors who applied for the project and matched technical qualifications have paid a visit to Nablus and met with Mayor Yaish, councilors, Head of Water and Waste Water Department and Strategic Planner of the department. Mayor Yaish welcomed the delegates and pointed out to the important significance of this project describing it as qualitative step in the field of waste water treatment in Nablus which will help over come a problem that worried both citizens and officials of Nablus. Mayor Yaish stated that treated waste water will develop environmental conditions in the area as it will be used to irrigating surrounding agricultural lands in Wadi Zomer area.
German Development Cooperation Seniors Checked Water Project in Nablus

Mayor Yaish, his deputies, Head of Water and Waste Water Department and water engineers at Nablus Municipality received German Development Cooperation (KFW) senior delegates; Dr. Hisham Sharabati, Senior Advisor in Palestine and Mrs. Anya Bentlaki, Project Manager for Nablus Water Loss reduction Project.
Signing of the third tender for the water loss project

Mayor Adly Yaish has signed the third tender pertaining to the water loss reduction – second phase - with total amount of 1.7 million Euros. The ceremony of signing the tender took place with the presence of both deputies Dr. Hafez Shaheen and Sa'id Hindiyyeh, in addition to Eng. Suleiman Abu Ghosh, Eng. Amjad Qreish, representative of German consultant, Bashir Hanani of Brothers' Co. and implementing company of the project.
2009-10-28 :
The Women Corner project team has celebrated the graduation of women trainees at Nablus Cultural Center. The project is being implemented by Nablus Municipality and funded by Medina Foundation in Italy and in cooperation with Asla Foundation. Mayor Yaish emphasized that empowering and building capacities of women lies within the strategic plan of the current municipal council, expressed his gratitude to work closely with Medina to implement this project.
