Condemnation
against extending the administrative
detention Period of Mayor Adly Yaish
While
his administrative detention period has
expired on 24/11/2007, the Israeli Military
Forces decided unfairly to extend the
detention period of Mayor Adly Yaish and his
deputy Engineer Mahdi Hanbali for another
six months.
We, the Municipal Council and the staff of
Nablus Municipality, strongly condemn this
despotic decision against our Palestinian
legal representatives and elected symbols.
We are calling upon and appeal all
diplomatic cores, consulates, peace and
democracy lovers in the world to make all
efforts and intervene for the release of all
Palestinian prisoners at Israeli prisons.
We emphasize that such decision will not
impede our mission to render the best
services to Nablus city and its inhabitants
with full persistence.
